Our Founder
Alfonso Pardo

Alfonso José Pardo Cubeñas was born on September 28, 1965, in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. He is the youngest son of Juan and Clara Pardo Cubeñas. He is now the father of two sons, Tatiana Andrea and Omar Alfonso. 

 

In 1974, when he was nine years old, his family relocated to Guaynabo, and he enrolled in the San José Academy. After sixth grade, he attended Colegio San José de Río Piedras, where he was president of his graduating class. 

 

He began his studies at the Catholic University of Ponce. In 1985, he enrolled in the Reserve Officers Training (ROTC) program at the University of Puerto Rico, Ponce Campus. He also pursued martial arts, specifically judo, and was a part of the university team. 

 

In 1986, he successfully completed the US Army airborne school course at Fort Benning, Georgia, earning his "Airborne" certification. Then, in 1987, he relocated to Guaynabo with his parents and transferred to the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Santurce. That year, he worked on TV commercials and did photography for advertisements and magazines. He also modeled on catwalks for renowned designers like Fernando Peña and Nono Maldonado.

In 1987, Alfonso attained the position of second lieutenant in the United States Army Infantry branch. Additionally, he made history by serving as the inaugural children's modeling instructor at the Nairda Hernández Modeling School. During that same year, he established Pardo and Company, a firm committed to bolstering and advancing Bionuclear, S.A. in the Dominican Republic, which marked his introduction to the business world. In 1988, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón.

Alfonso is known for his creativity, initiative, passion, and strategic thinking. Above all, he is recognized for his nobility, humility, and generosity.
